Aviation with Choppie

For my son’s second birthday, I didn’t want to have traditional birthday parties, and although I know he probably won’t remember the experience, I know that everything has a big impact on an impressionable two-year-old
So, I called up a friend, Mr. Jacques Lourens from Aviation with Passion (please go like their Facebook page and go check out their super cool helicopter adventure pics). He agreed to take myself and my son on an adventure just a day before my son’s second birthday.
From a self-development perspective, what the experience meant to me as a mother, it helped me cultivate adventure hobbies with my 2-year-old, so that he grows up to be a young man with hobbies and ambitions. I also truly enjoyed the experience from a more sentimental point of view, since my Dad took me on a helicopter adventure in KZN once (super awesome to fly between mountains, but the city overview has its own beauty). My son was absolutely mesmerised by what he saw, he only looked at me with unsure eyes once (because of the noise level), after I re-assured him, he had so much fun. That evening he was super tuckered out, but it was worth the side effects of being over stimulated, because up to this day (he is now 4 years old), he still talks about helicopters as amazing and basically loves to see aeroplanes as much as he can.
And from that day on I realised why my Dad would have thought that Choppie was a good nick name for his grandson, because he thinks that his grandson would be a great chopper pilot, and is a typical Afrikaans boy with a typical braai mentality. (lol... dad’s, right?) Momma’s take your son on less female adventure’s and be one of the boys every then and when.
