I always wondered why some people like therapy’s and others don’t. My friend Kim, who is one of the best Nail technicians the east of Pretoria has to offer, did my nails this past weekend.
Kim makes me feel valued and special. She is a very kind-hearted friend. She always seems to have a six sense about what colour I need and am in the mood for. She works deliberately but does not hurt me. She removes years of busy-ness neglect from my hands in a few minutes. Not only do I look better when I leave her, but I seem to feel better too.
Kim said that going to the salon is like seeing a therapist, because it gives the customer a chance to let out a lot of emotion in the talking and relaxing atmosphere. Relaxation, meditation or even distractions help people clear their mind. Clearing your mind helps to declutter emotions and thoughts. This helps the processing of emotions and thoughts and helps your brain get into the problem-solving mode.
Therapy is the processing of thought and emotion to get answers or solutions and ultimately a desired result or goal. In other words. Most of us process daily, talking to our mentors, spouses, friends and family (Or by writing, reflecting and being creative). Whether you are pro or con to Therapy's you are part taking in a form thereof when processing thought or emotion. Neglecting this processing of thought and emotion can be catastrophic. It could be one of the root causes of depression, stress and negative relationship patterns. It’s also a strange observation to me that people who have a victim mentality are more likely to get addicted to therapies. People who have a controlling approach to success tend to avoid or suppress processing until it is too late. When we believe we don’t need therapy we are saying my brain doesn't need to process.
📷I believe that everybody needs a form of therapy on a regular basis. Self-Improvement plays a big part in therapy, because we learn and train ourselves into what we want to become by processing mistakes of the past.
