Give but never Give-up! - with Lourens from Hosting 101

While I am busy laying the foundations for my potential business I had a wonderful meeting with Lourens Tredoux, from Hosting 101. They specialise in helping new, small and start-up businesses with the correct Web based foundations.

Lourens’s Philosophy inspired me so much I had to put it on my blog. Lourens, believes you only really fail when you quit. His story why this became his Philosophy is even more inspiring. Lourens, started a few business’s but he said every time a major obstacle came his way, he felt he did not have the capacity to overcome the obstacle, so he would give up and quit. He loves challenges so he would pursue new challenges whenever he felt the current obstacle was too big.

But what changed that for him was he started a new challenge, where he is taking on more risk, so his motivation to succeed is so much greater. After his previous business attempt he changed careers into Teaching for high school children. Lourens taught for 4 years. In that 4 years, he felt he was making a difference. As he is teaching children, he is discovering his life purpose alongside them. He felt immense exhilaration after leaving teaching and still getting recognition from his students for the impact he made on them.

He also learned that his mental limitations are not true, e.g. Nobody is better than someone else, it is about what they decide to do with what they have received. You can change your attitude if you can control negative limitation thoughts. How do you identify these negative emotions? He learned that you should renew your way of thinking, negative thoughts come from an unrenewed mind, you should ask yourself from when do you feel negative, and that would lead you to the exact negative thought. Decide to face your negative thought, you don’t back down. Use declarations to change your negative thought. Then you exchange negative thought with the right positive thought. Lourens believes that we are created for a divine purpose.

Lourens says he used to have a self-destructive mentality (like most of us do), he acted against this mentality. He realised that two kinds of people work in life. Those who work because it is their job and those who is called to do what they do. Then one day, he got a call from Johannes Groenewald. Johannes is a prestigious man and wanted to start a new business venture with Lourens because lourens has the right technical background. And this is how Hosting 101 was born.
