Permission Granted or Apology Accepted:

It is easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission. To most of us this statement seems a bit selfish, but I found it to be very true. I recently hosted my first half day workshop. I wish I could say that it was perfect, but of course it wasn’t. For me this first attempt helped me to start doing something I love, sharing the life lessons I learned the hard way with others, so they can learn it the easy way. Because it wasn’t perfect, and I did not wait for things or myself to be perfect there was an opportunity for me to improve it next time. In this very specific case the first statement of this article was very true. Most people are so scared of not getting things done the right way or how they want it that they wait too long to start or possibly never do.
So how do we start something?
1. Know or find out what you want and need, sounds basic, but if you don’t know what you want how are you going to do anything?
2. Research all the details, find out what is your challenges or obstacles going to be.
3. Ask yourself, what is the worst, the best and most likely thing that could happen.
4. Make it as easy and convenient as possible for you to follow through by removing as many insecurities and obstacles as possible.
5. Tell yourself you can do it, make yourself believe that you will succeed.
6. Surround yourself with people who believe that you will succeed, gain support and encouragement.
7. Just take that first step, just do it.
What’s the benefits of first attempts:
1. You are open to learn
2. You overcome fear mindsets
3. You will see that you can achieve great things.
4. You must use in the moment creative solutions to solve problems.
5. You get to make sure what you really want out of life.
6. You learn to trust yourself and other people more.
How to stop procrastination:
1. Choose a time of day to start when you feel the most motivated (early morning for example)
2. Give yourself deadlines for each step of your goal list
3. Avoid distractions such as television, computer games, social media, pointless coffee dates etc.
4. Tell yourself how determined you are to complete what you want to do.
5. Accept mistakes and faults, you are human after all and grow through your mistakes.
Often doing nothing also has a risk. The biggest risk in doing nothing or waiting is the risk of not progressing. What do you want to do is a great question to ask and answer yourself? The one after that is what do you know that can help other people. We are all capable of achieving amazing things, we can become anything we want. But our choices and obstacles can stand in our way, usually it is our own limiting beliefs that hinders our growth the most. No more delays, you can start achieving your dreams and goals today.
